Dudley George appointed as director of programme and project management
Essentia Trading , the specialist healthcare and life science consultancy, has appointed Dudley George as director of programme and project management.
Based in Norwich, he will be tasked with developing Essentia’s business in East Anglia and Cambridge.
He joins Essentia’s experienced capital development team at an exciting time in its development.
The team designs, manages and delivers capital investment projects in the healthcare and science sectors and has led projects for major science and research organisations, NHS trusts, and private healthcare companies.
Now comprising 30 consultants, the team is winning more and more work, delivering an increasingly-diverse range of technically-challenging schemes.
George brings over 40 years of construction industry experience to Essentia and has held director-level programme and project management positions in several consultancy organisations, including Aviva Insurance and AECOM.
He has led teams responsible for the successful delivery of several major construction and property-related projects and programmes across a broad range of sectors, including the delivery of the Medical Research Council’s new flagship £212m laboratory of molecular biology in Cambridge.
Mark Halstead, director of programme and project management at Essentia, said: “Cambridge, together with the wider Anglia Region, has achieved significant critical mass over the last few years for its world-class capabilities in health, science and education.
“Inward investment into the region continues and it is anticipated to be an integral part of the delivery of the Government’s science strategy for years to come.
“For Essentia, developing a presence in the region is a natural progression to our teams in London and Oxford, where we have an established track record for delivering some of the most-complex and challenging health and science capital projects.
“Dudley brings an exceptional track record of delivering major capital projects at the highest level and has invaluable skills in terms of leading multi-disciplinary teams, engaging senior stakeholders and creating collaborative teams.”
