IBI Group reappointed on next phase of NHS Healthy New Towns programme

Company to contribute to estates and digital workstreams as part of official NHS guidance document

IBI Group has announced its continued involvement in the Healthy New Towns programme, working with the King’s Fund to produce an official NHS guidance publication.

IBI will be contributing to the estates and digital workstreams aspect of the guidance document, which will be published in spring 2019; supporting the work of The Kings Fund and the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA).

The NHS England Healthy New Towns scheme was set out to rethink how we live, how healthcare services can be delivered, and looks at improving health through the built environment.

The new publication will provide evidence-based guidance on how to create healthy neighbourhoods, towns and cities, particularly in places of population growth and new development.

IBI architect and studio principal, Justin Harris, said: “We’re really excited to be able to continue to work with NHS England on the Healthy New Towns programme. This reflects our continued excellence in the delivery of healthcare estates solutions.”

IBI director, Mario Bozzo, added: “At IBI, we are bridging the gap between design and technology, especially in healthcare.
